Al Dewar
Apparently a sign of mild ADHD is the fact that you become obsessive (my wife says to the point of extreme annoyance) with things. For me that’s always been Sci-fi or Fantasy in some form, so as another child of the 70’s my days were filled with Space 1999, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet, UFO, Star Wars and Star Trek.
My longest running passion is Doctor Who. I tuned in every Saturday at 5.15pm to watch my hero Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor turning up somewhere new, righting wrongs and then leaving. I get a thrill of excitement every time I hear the TARDIS sound even to this day.
My childhood was very creative and I was constantly making things - usually Spaceship!. I now find myself in the privileged position of making toys that hopefully bring joy to many. Along the way I’ve added a few obsessions to the mix be it Blade Runner, Indiana Jones, Star Wars or Ghostbusters. Mantra! - All of Time and Space!
